Kat Cole joined Cinnabon Inc. as Chief Operating Officer in November 2010. She was named President in January 2011. Prior to her role with Cinnabon Inc., Kat was Vice President of Training and Development for Hooters of America Inc., the international division that operates and franchises restaurants and manages the Hooters® brand entities. She moved up from working in the restaurants to various leadership positions over 15 years, ultimately reporting directly to the CEO as a member of the Executive Team. Kat directed international projects and management initiatives, contributing to the growth of company revenues, nontraditional brand extensions and increases in the number of restaurant units. She has more than a decade of multi-disciplined experience in Change Management, Culture, Communications, Service, Training, Sales, Restaurant Operations, and Brand & Organizational Leadership and is a featured speaker and panelist on these topics for various industries, associations and universities. Kat serves on the executive committee as Past Chair for the Georgia Restaurant Association® (GRA). She serves on the Board of Directors of the Women's Foodservice Forum, chairs the Certification Governing Board for the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation (NRAEF) and has chaired various committees and projects in food service and hospitality industry organizations. Among many other awards, Kat won the 2007 Women's Foodservice Forum Volunteer of the Year Award, the 2008 Motivator of the Year Award from the Elliot Leadership Institute® and the 2010 Georgia Restaurant Association Crystal of Excellence (GRACE) Award for Distinguished Service. She is an avid volunteer with organizations that support women and children in need, fight hunger and work to end homelessness. She received a MBA from Georgia State University.
